Microwave repair is a job for a technician
A microwave's high-voltage capacitor can hold a dangerous charge even after the oven is unplugged, so internal repairs are not a DIY job. Our technicians discharge the circuit properly before working inside.
We repair solo, grill, convection and combination microwaves, plus built-in microwave ovens in tall kitchen units. Common jobs include magnetrons, high-voltage diodes, door switches, waveguide covers and touch panels.
After every repair we test heating with a measured load of water and check the door, hinges and safety interlocks before we leave.

Turntable not turning
A failed turntable motor or a worn coupler under the glass plate.
Completely dead, no display
A blown main fuse, a failed door interlock switch or a control board fault.

Door won't close or latch
Broken door hooks, a worn latch spring or bent hinges.
Light or fan not working

How a repair works
- 01
Tell us what's wrong
Call or WhatsApp with the appliance, brand, model and a photo or short video of the fault.
- 02
Arrange a visit

- 03
Diagnose and approve
The technician tests, explains the fault and gives a fixed quote before any work.
- 04
Repair and test
With your OK we repair it, test it, and write the warranty on your invoice.

Microwave care tips
- Wipe the waveguide cover (the small panel inside the cavity) to stop grease burning onto it.
- Never run the microwave empty. It can damage the magnetron.
- Keep metal, foil and dishes with metallic trim out of the microwave.
- Clean spills soon, before they carbonise and start to arc.
- Close the door gently. Slamming wears the hooks and interlock switches.
Microwave Oven Repair FAQs
Is it worth repairing a microwave?
Built-in and combination microwaves are almost always worth repairing. For a low-cost solo microwave, a new magnetron can cost close to a new oven, and we'll tell you so before you decide.
Why is my microwave sparking?
Most often the waveguide cover is greasy or burnt, the cavity paint is chipped, or there's metal inside. Stop using it until it has been checked, because arcing can damage the magnetron.
My microwave runs but the food stays cold. What's wrong?
The high-voltage circuit isn't working: usually the magnetron, the high-voltage diode, the capacitor or the high-voltage fuse.
Can you repair built-in combination microwaves?
Yes. We repair built-in microwaves and combi microwave ovens from Bosch, Siemens, Neff, Miele, Smeg and other makers.
Is a microwave safe to use after repair?
Yes. We test the heating, the door fit and the safety interlocks before handing it back.
