Coffee machines repaired properly, not just descaled
A coffee machine packs a pump, a boiler or thermoblock, valves, a grinder and a control board into a small box, and Dubai's hard water is tough on all of them. Scale builds up in the heating circuit, seals dry out in the heat, and milk residue blocks steam wands faster than most owners expect. When a machine stops working, the fix is usually one specific part, not a new machine.
Prime Time Technical repairs automatic bean-to-cup machines, manual and semi-automatic espresso machines, capsule machines and commercial one-, two- and three-group café machines. We start by measuring pressure, temperature and flow, so we can tell you exactly what has failed and what it costs to put right.
If your café, restaurant or office depends on the machine all day, tell us when you book. We plan commercial visits around your trading hours where we can, and bring the parts most likely to be needed once we know the make and model.
What we measure on every coffee machine
Typical reference values. We always work to the manufacturer's figures for your machine.
measured at the group head on espresso machines
checked at the spout, not just on the display
on commercial and dual-boiler machines
sets the filter and descaling interval
Coffee machine problems we fix every week
No coffee, or very slow flow
Usually a blocked brew group, a scaled heating circuit or a pump that has lost pressure. We clean, descale and test the pump against its rated output.
Coffee not hot enough, or tastes burnt
A failing thermostat, temperature sensor or heating element gives cold, sour or bitter shots. We measure brew temperature before replacing anything.
Water leaking under the machine
Worn O-rings, a faulty water tank valve, a split hose or a perished group-head gasket. Leaks near the electronics need attention quickly.
Grinder noisy, jammed or not grinding
A stone in the beans, worn burrs or a failed grinder motor. We clear the grinder, replace burrs or motors and recalibrate the grind.
Weak steam or no milk froth
Milk residue and scale block the steam tip and steam valve. We clean the steam circuit and replace valves or seals that no longer close.
Descale or service light won't clear
The warning stays on when a descaling cycle didn't finish or a sensor misreads. We run a full descale, reset the counter and check the flowmeter.
Machine won't switch on or trips the power
A blown fuse, a tripped thermal cut-out, a damaged power board or moisture in the wiring. We trace it safely with the machine isolated.
Pump loud but little water comes out
Air in the system, a blocked inlet filter or a worn vibration pump. We bleed the circuit and replace the pump if it no longer builds pressure.
Machines we repair
Coffee machine servicing and descaling
Most coffee machine faults we see in Dubai trace back to scale and old coffee oils. A full service from Prime Time Technical covers the things that keep a machine making good coffee:
- Descaling the heating circuit with a food-safe descaler, then flushing it clean
- Removing, cleaning and re-greasing the brew group with food-grade lubricant
- Replacing the group gasket and shower screen on espresso machines
- Checking pump pressure and brew temperature against the manufacturer's range
- Cleaning the steam wand, steam valve and hot-water outlet
- Fitting or replacing the water filter and setting the hardness level
- Calibrating the grinder and test-brewing until the shot is right
For cafés, restaurants and offices
A stopped espresso machine at opening time costs a café real money. We repair single and multi-group commercial machines, check boiler pressure and safety valves, test autofill probes and solenoids, and replace group gaskets across all groups in one visit.
For businesses that rely on their machine every day, we can set up regular maintenance visits so gaskets, filters and screens are changed before they fail. Ask about it when you call.
Repair or replace?
If the boiler or thermoblock and the frame are sound, repairing a good machine almost always costs less than buying a new one of the same quality. We'll also tell you plainly when a repair isn't worth it, for example a low-cost capsule machine with a failed control board.

Keep your coffee machine running longer
- Use filtered or low-mineral bottled water. Dubai tap water scales a machine quickly.
- Descale when the machine asks, using the descaler made for your machine type.
- Purge and wipe the steam wand after every milk drink.
- On bean-to-cup machines with a removable brew group, rinse it once a week.
- Use fresh, dry beans. Very oily or flavoured beans clog grinders and brew units.
- In cafés, backflush every group daily with a blind basket and espresso machine cleaner.
Coffee Machine Repair FAQs
How much does coffee machine repair cost in Dubai?
It depends on the machine and the part that has failed. We inspect and test first, then give you a fixed quote before any work. You decide whether to go ahead.
Do you repair commercial espresso machines for cafés?
Yes. We repair one-, two- and three-group commercial machines from La Marzocco, Nuova Simonelli, La Cimbali, Rancilio, Wega, Expobar and other makers, including boiler, autofill, solenoid and group repairs.
Is the repair done at my home or at your workshop?
Many jobs, such as descaling, gaskets, valves and pumps, are done on site. Board faults or repairs that need a long test run may go to our Al Quoz workshop. We always tell you before taking a machine away.
How often should a coffee machine be descaled in Dubai?
With tap water, many home machines need descaling every one to two months. With filtered water it is less often. Follow your machine's descale indicator, and use a filter or softener on commercial machines.
My Nespresso lights keep blinking. What does it mean?
Slow blinking while the machine heats up is normal. If the lights keep blinking after heating, or blink in an unusual pattern, it usually means a descaling alert or a fault, depending on the model. Send us the model and a short video on WhatsApp and we can usually tell you which.
Do you use genuine parts?
We fit genuine parts where they are available, or quality OEM-grade parts if you prefer a lower price. We tell you which before fitting anything.
Are you an authorised De'Longhi, Nespresso or Jura service centre?
No. Prime Time Technical is an independent repair company and is not affiliated with any brand. If your machine is still under the manufacturer's warranty, check with the brand first, because outside repairs can affect that warranty.
